The new Lexus LS460 is said to have more technology features than any other North American vehicle for sale. According to the article on Digital Trends, other top rank brands include BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, and Acura. So what’s considered technologically advanced? The 2007 LS460 will have a 30GB hard drive for music and navigation, three cameras, touch-screen, Bluetooth, live traffic reports, and a 19-speaker audio system.
Of course the luxury vehicles will receive technology first at a premium price, but it is only a matter of time before these features trickle down to economy-based cars. Luxury features over time turn into standard features.
I think car technology has come a long way. Just a few years ago people probably wouldn’t even imagine these sorts of technologies in their vehicles. Not only has their been new technologies available to car manufacturers but existing luxury features have been much improved as well. It’s funny that futuristic movies show what cars might be like in the future not matter how farfetched it might be, but I think it’s only a matter of time until that becomes a reality.

A car that indeed prides itself on gadgets and gizmos inluding the headline-grabbing automatic parking system. Well why wonder, it comes from a Japanese automaker nonetheless.
