Well the Wordpress app showed up in the iTunes store this morning so I figured I would give it a try. It has basic functionality for blogging including posts, photos, categories, and tags.
I’m writing this post from my 3G iPhone and of course it is taking a long time to write since I have to use the mobile phone keyboard.
One other thing to note is that it does not yet currently support custom fields so I won’t be able to update all my blogs at this time since I do use those fields across multiple sites.
I like that it does do local saving in the case where you are in a place where you can’t get online. It also has a preview function which is nice.
For quick posts, I think they did a good job in creating this mobile app and I think it’s good enough to use when on the go and away from the computer.
For those Wordpress users with iPhones it is worth trying out since it is a free app you really have nothing to lose.

Well after a few hiccups, the revision to this site is up and running. It has been completely revamped front end to back end with some additions and subtractions throughout. This is the first code run for the new look and feel which is now running on Wordpress. I’m hoping I’ll have some time in the near future to do some code cleanup and fine tune some of the plug-ins I’m using. Read the rest of this entry »

Well 2008 is here now and one of the things that I would have liked to do more in 2007 was keeping up to date with my blog posts. I’m currently running this site as well as lightenment and webdev2.0. I think I made an honest effort adding sites to webdev2.0, but still not as much as I would have liked to. Lightenment started out well in early 2007, but I felt that I didn’t put as much time into it as it deserved. As far as this site, I usually post here and there, but should make an effort to post more. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve been recently reading Rafe Needleman’s blog entries posted on CNET.com. Technology is an interesting subject for me. He blogs about content that I usually blog about. Needleman pulls a lot of content from Emily Chang’s eHub site, which has become a comprehensive directory of Web 2.0 based sites. Read the rest of this entry »

I have been following Darren Rowse’s blog ProBlogger for a few months now. I guess you could say he gave me some inspiration into moving into the whole blog format and for the most part I’m glad I did. It’s a great way to get my views out and an easy way to keep my sites updated. In his post, the Cost of Comment Spam he mentioned that he has seen some people give up on preventing spam in their comment posts. Read the rest of this entry »
