I saw a link to this article on Times Online and I started thinking could I live off a raw food diet?  Over the last couple years for the most part cut out red meat and pork from my diet and try to be more conscious in what I throw in my body.  I’ve cheating on the diet at times, but I figure I used to eat a lot of unhealthy things all the time and if I do it once in a while it’s probably okay.  I’m not on the diet to lose weight, just be healthier.  I’ve definately cut back quite a bit and I don’t know if I am healthier, but I feel healthier and I’ve had a lot better scores during my physicals.

I just don’t think I could do a raw food diet.  I think I would always desire other foods and when I go out to eat I wouldn’t choose the raw food dish.  When they say raw food diet it states that it’s a vegan style diet.  I think I may be able to get away with that and say raw fish.  I may be able to do that, but then again I usually like eating the sushi with rice.

I think cutting back and eating what I eat now has been a pretty big struggle.  I think I was able to sacrifice some things, but still able to enjoy others.  In the raw food diet to me it seems like I’d be sacraficing almost everything.  I guess right now in my life that’s not something I’m willing to try.  That may change in the future though.

I went to Senro Japanese Bar and Grill last night located at 30 W Neal St Suite 100 in downtown Pleasanton. I had been there a few times and really enjoy it. The best sushi I’ve had by far is a place in Hawaii called Sansei. Nothing has been able to touch that, but here in California Senro is pretty good. Read the rest of this entry »

I was hoping to surprise my friend Kristianne at work, by stopping in and grabbing a bite to eat for lunch, but to my surprise she had the day off. She works at Pizza Antica in Lafayette located at 3600 Mount Diablo Boulevard. I decided since I went all the way over there I was going to have lunch anyway. Read the rest of this entry »

Since I’ve already written an entry today on a restaurant, I figured I would write about another one. I guess I must be hungry or something. Fernando’s Mexican Restaurant is in downtown Pleasanton off Main Street at 348 Saint Mary St. I usually go on the weekends for margaritas and Mexican food. I’ve been able to visit San Francisco more often since I moved back to the Bay Area and was introduced to the seafood restaurant Bar Crudo by my friend Jenny. Bar Crudo located on 603 Bush Street at Stockton in San Francisco. Now I usually don’t write about restaurants in my blog.
