There is a fun little demo of CSS animation using hovers on CSS Play. It’s a pretty simple example but it’s definitely pretty clever. He says it’s the first CSS animation that he knows of and I can’t recall any that I remember so maybe he’s right. In any case maybe it will invoke some inspiration in your designs.
I think there is so much more innovation in CSS we have yet to see. Even though this is a simple example of current CSS standards, it creatively does something that is out of the ordinary. If there are any other CSS tips or tricks you would like me to post let me know.
