From XHTML/CSS to WordPress

May 5th, 2006

I’ve been hired quite a few times to skin different types of blogs software such as WordPress. It’s actually pretty easy to do, but does take a little bit of time just because of the number of files that need to be edited to create a template. I recently came across a tutorial on The Undersigned with a pretty good explanation on how to go about creating a template for WordPress.

The Undersigned goes through each file and tells what should be edited and what each file actually does. For beginners this is a pretty good tutorial to get you going. Those with PHP and XHTML/CSS experience should find it quite easy to follow the tutorial and shouldn’t have any problems implementing their own layouts in WordPress.

I found this tutorial quite useful and I’m thinking my readers will too.
