ZDNet had a blog post regarding browser usage recently. The numbers are clear that Firefox is continuing to gain market share over Internet Explorer. Worldwide 13% is a pretty good amount considering the age of the browser and showing more usage in the US at 16% is promising.
It’s unusual to see that some countries market shares in browser technology is much different than others. I would think that it should be pretty similar world wide, but I guess this just isn’t the case. I don’t really have a good explanation for it, but maybe some of the other readers do. Feel free to post your opinion about this or about browser market share in general.
In any case, I use Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux and my browser of choice for all of the platforms continues to be Firefox. I keep a copy of quite a few other browsers on my machines for testing purposes, but time after time I find Firefox the best browser for my everyday use.
