Netflix has released a set top box made by Roku.  It allows streaming of about 10,000 titles from the NetFlix service to your TV.  I already have an AppleTV, but I’m thinking about picking one up.  The box costs $100 and there is no additional monthly fee if you have an unlimited account with Netflix.

As of right now Netflix does not have any HD videos for streaming, but I think if it’s DVD quality that’s okay with me for now.  I just rent the standard DVDs from the Netflix service anyway.  I’m interested to see how the quality is and how well it streams from the service. I went over to my local AT&T store today to pick up a Jawbone 2.  I figured while I was there I would ask if they had any information on the new iPhone.  I had a good feeling that no one would know about it since Apple is so secretive about their products until they are launched.  They said they knew nothing, but they were running short of supply of the current model.  For those interested, the Jawbone seems to work pretty well and you can check out my full review here.

Everyone has their usual website that they visit on a regular basis. For me I’m really interested in technology so I like to visit sites related to that topic such as Engadget and Gizmodo. I recently started reading Uncrate as well. The three sites really have some interesting blog posts and it’s a good way to kill time. I mean I even have my own gadget blog called lightenment. Today I came across the site CrunchGear. It is similar to the other sites but since I also visit TechCrunch on a pretty regular basis I figure I would give it a shot. Read the rest of this entry »

Like others ever since the wired Apple Mighty Mouse was released I was saying so where’s the wireless version. Today Apple has released the Bluetooth version of its Mighty Mouse. I seemed to like the original Mighty Mouse but was holding out for the wireless version. I will probably pick one of them up and try it out. The second click button was something to get used to but I figure it will be the same on the new mouse. Read the rest of this entry »

For those of you with iPods with the Dock Connection, there’s a cool little gadget worth looking into called the Pocket Dock Combo. What this little thing is is an adapter for your iPod with Dock connection to use any standard USB or Firewire cable. Previous generation Pocket Dock’s only allow a USB connection or a Firewire connection. This is a convenient for those of you that like to transfer data to and from multiple computers. It comes in handy because most people with have a USB cable already connected to their computer. Read the rest of this entry »
