A Web Revolution in the Living Room

Opera has partnered with Nintendo to put their browser on the upcoming Wii game console. The new console will allow users to surf the Internet using its Wii remote controller. Opera promises to offer a browser that is fast and secure with support for the latest web technologies such as AJAX.

10 Features You’ll Find Only in Opera

On the Google Operating System blog, there is an entry describing 10 features that are only available to Opera users. Most of these features are helpful in everyday browsing. Like the entry says there are Firefox extensions to make the browser more capable, but all of these features are included with Opera out of the box.

Opera 9 Beta Released

April 20th, 2006

Opera 9 Beta was released today. This new version includes widgets similar to Yahoo Widgets or Apple’s Dashboard. It also continues to support BitTorrent file downloading. Similar to the Internet Explorer 7 Beta, Opera 9 Beta includes a content blocker and thumbnail previews of tabbed sites.
