New Microsoft Browser Raises Google’s Hackles

There was a recent article on CNET News.com regarding monopoly issue against Microsoft, but this time by the search giant Google. With Internet Explorer 7 it puts the search on MSN and point more advertising dollars to that site due to its high volume of OS popularity. Google believes this is an unfair advantage in advertising.

Mozilla Pulls Major Firefox 2.0 Feature

The Mozilla Corp. developers have decided to pull a feature called “Places” from its upcoming Firefox 2.0 release. “Places” uses a SQLite database engine to store bookmarks and browsing history and allows users to easily search within those results.

Opera 9 Beta Released

April 20th, 2006

Opera 9 Beta was released today. This new version includes widgets similar to Yahoo Widgets or Apple’s Dashboard. It also continues to support BitTorrent file downloading. Similar to the Internet Explorer 7 Beta, Opera 9 Beta includes a content blocker and thumbnail previews of tabbed sites.
