With the Web 2.0 phenomenon in affect, people are feeling the investment fever they did in the dot-com era according to CNN Money. The Internet bubble had burst once before and many people thought it would never happen again. The next net boom may happen again.
The Internet industry didn’t go away and just continued on even through the rough times. The web is full of new innovative ideas and with more acceptance of the AJAX technology; it has helped create applications that people can really use.
MySpace and Facebook are two huge social networking sites very popular amongst teens and young adults.
As bandwidth has increased, so have the ideas pushing the limits of Internet speed. Even a few years ago, video would not even be considered in a web application due to the fact that the files are so large. With better compression and faster Internet speeds, this opens the potential of many Web 2.0 applications.
