Demo.com has a pretty cool video demonstrating the next revision to Yahoo! Photos. There aren’t too many products out there that impress me right off the bat, but I have to say from watching this video, I’m very impressed with the improvements made in the new Beta. By utilizing the Web 2.0 concept in the latest version, Yahoo is able to utilize AJAX and create their online photo album program seem like a desktop application.
What I didn’t know previously is that Yahoo photo application is the most visited photo destination on the web. With so many other sites out there, it didn’t seem like it would be, but I guess I am wrong.
AJAX allows for drag and drop organization, sharing, virtual albums, tagging, search and the ability to have smart albums.
The application has come a long way utilizing the power of AJAX through Web 2.0. This interface is much improved from the last revision and I look forward to seeing it arrive to the public in the near future.
